‘Sursmooinaght’ or ‘Contemplation’

I was delighted to find that there are two words for contemplation in Manx which was a perfect situation for two sister paintings. ‘Sursmooinaght’ is the story of my realisation that my painting truly is an emotional response to the land and sea and how I feel about living here. The texture in the base of the painting to me is a nod to the rock we walk upon; this beautiful rock in the middle of the Irish Sea!
